Fortnite: Battle Royale Releases New Skins On PS4, Xbox One, And PC; See Them Here

Fortnite players can get their hands on new cosmetic skins this week. The PC, PS4, and Xbox One game has received eight new Alpine Ace Ski Skins, with seven of the eight skins repping a different country to celebrate the upcoming Winter Olympic Games in Pyeongchang, South Korea.

The Ski Skins are of Epic rarity and can be purchased in the game’s cosmetic shop. Each skin costs 1,500 V-Bucks, which costs about $15 to buy; however, players can earn V-Bucks in the game too. The skins don’t affect gameplay at all (although some colors will make you stand out more than others). One of the Ski Skins is a basic blue, but the seven others are decked out in the flags of countries with a considerable number of Fortnite players. The countries represented are: United States, Canada, Great Britain, France, Germany, China, and, of course, South Korea. Check them out in the gallery below.

The new skins come after Fortnite developer Epic Games released its delayed 2.4.0 patch. Following periods of server downtime and a buggy first few days, Fortnite’s 2.4.1 patch is now up and running.

The new update adds the minigun weapon to Battle Royale, as well as a variety of other, smaller features and fixes. Save the World gets new Expedition types and the Cozy Campfire item. You can see everything the new Fortnite update does in our previous coverage. Players can also now get freebies by logging in as an apology for the downtime that followed a recent patch’s release.
